The Studio
Dylan has been an artist and maker his whole life, coming from a family of talented craftspeople.
His professional journey has taken him from UX designer to print graphic designer with a hiatus in high end construction. All the while he accumulated sketchbooks of furnishings he hoped one day to produce and sell. In 2008, he co-founded a co-op design studio and launched his own business featuring his original designs, select commissions and specialty fabrication. To date he has produced over 200 individual pieces for clients across North America.
Dylan has been featured in many notable publications including Sunset, Dwell, and SF Chronicle. He has won awards from DWR and Macy's, the latter being notable as it was the subject of a TLC reality show that required delivering the winning presentation to judges Martha Stewart, Tommy Hilfiger, and Marcus Samuelson.
In addition to his private clients, interior designers and design firms, he has worked with corporations including Dolby, Panasonic, ClifBar, GoodYear and Gensler.
He holds a degree in Applied Art and Design from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and completed a summer furniture design program at Carl Malmsten's Capellagården, in Sweden.
He's also an adjunct professor at CCA in the Furniture and Industrial Design departments.
